CTRNet National Biobanking Standards

CTRNet’s national controlled biobanking documents include Required Operational Practices (ROPs), as well as Policies (POLs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). These documents underpin CTRNet’s two quality assurance programs (registration and certification). The Registration program is primarily for researchers who are planning or conducting research projects that involve creating or working with new collections of human biospecimens. Certification is primarily for biobankers who are establishing or operating a biobank of human biospecimens. These documents allow you to establish your biobank in compliance with International biobanking best practices and give rise to quality controlled biospecimens and data which subsequently promotes translational research.
